What this plugin does
The LernHive Continue learning Dashboard block shows up to four courses you opened recently and have not finished yet, so you can pick up where you left off. If no course qualifies, it links to the learning catalogue.
The block is no longer offered for new placements. The LernHive My Learning block shows the same courses on the Dashboard.
On the page the block heading reads Continue learning; Add a block and the plugin list name it LernHive Continue learning.
Who this is for
| Role | Use |
|---|---|
| Learner | Resume a recently opened course from the Dashboard. |
| Platform administration | Remove a block placed earlier if the Dashboard shows the courses twice. |
Core concepts
A course card stands for a course you are enrolled in, have opened at least once, have not completed and are allowed to see.
Journeys by role
Learner: continue a course
- Open your Dashboard.
- Select one of the course cards. The most recently opened course comes first.
- Continue learning in the course.
- If no card is shown, the block says "Nothing to continue yet — open one of your courses and it will show up here." Select Browse the learning catalogue to find a course.
Platform administration: blocks placed earlier
The block cannot be added any more: it is missing from Add a block. A block that is already on a Dashboard keeps working.
- Open the Dashboard that shows the block and turn editing on.
- If the LernHive My Learning block on the same Dashboard already shows the courses, delete the LernHive Continue learning block through its actions menu.
Settings that matter
None. The block has no settings, and a Dashboard holds at most one instance.
Limitations
- The block appears only on the Dashboard.
- It does not manage enrolments, progress, completion or recommendations.
- Completed courses, hidden courses and courses you never opened do not appear.
- New instances cannot be added; use LernHive My Learning instead.
Troubleshooting
The block cannot be added. → This is intended. Use the LernHive My Learning block, which shows the same courses.
No course card is shown. → Open a course first; only opened courses appear. → Check that the learner is enrolled, the course is visible and not yet completed.
