My bookmarks

The My bookmarks block lists your most recently saved courses and activities on the Moodle Dashboard, so you can return to them with one click.

What this plugin does

The My bookmarks block lists your most recently saved courses and activities on the Moodle Dashboard, so you can return to them with one click.

The same list appears as My Bookmarks in the LernHive My Learning block. The standalone block is no longer offered under Add a block; a block placed earlier keeps working.

On the page the block heading reads My Bookmarks; Add a block and the plugin list name it LernHive My bookmarks.

Site administratorRemoves duplicate standalone blocks from Dashboards

Journeys by role

Learner: reopen a saved item

  1. Open your Dashboard. The block shows up to eight of your most recent bookmarks.
  2. Each row shows an icon for the kind of item, the title, a context line (Course for a course, Course: … for an activity) and when you saved it; hover over the time to see the full date.
  3. Click the title to open the item.
  4. Click View all bookmarks to open your full bookmark list.
  5. Without bookmarks the block shows "You have not saved any bookmarks yet." with a hint how to save one.

Learner: add items to the list

  1. Save a course or activity elsewhere in LernHive, for example with the bookmark icon next to an activity title or on a catalogue card.
  2. The item appears at the top of the list.

Site administrator: clean up standalone blocks

  1. The standalone block is no longer offered under Add a block; LernHive My Learning shows the same list.
  2. Where a Dashboard shows the bookmarks twice, remove the standalone block, or reset Dashboards under Appearance → Default Dashboard page.

Settings that matter

There is no settings page. Saving and removing bookmarks belongs to the bookmark plugin.

Limitations

  • Shows the eight most recent bookmarks; the complete list is behind View all bookmarks.
  • Bookmarks cannot be added or removed in this block.
  • Users without the right to view their own bookmarks see an empty block.
  • Dashboard pages only, once per page. Guests and logged-out users see no content.

Troubleshooting

The block shows the empty state. → Nothing has been saved yet. Save a course or activity and reload the Dashboard.

A saved item is missing. → Only the eight most recent bookmarks appear; open View all bookmarks.

A saved item disappeared. → Its course or activity was deleted; such bookmarks are removed automatically.
