My Seminars

The LernHive My Seminars block shows a learner's upcoming seminar bookings on the Moodle Dashboard as catalogue-style cards. Each card shows the next date, location, seminar format and booking status and opens the right place to continue: the linked course, the seminar page or the personal seminar overview. Below the cards the block lists the learner's active pre-registrations.

Journeys by role

Learner: review upcoming seminar bookings

  1. Open your Dashboard. The LernHive My Seminars block lists your upcoming bookings as cards.
  2. Each card carries two badges: the seminar format (In person, Online, Hybrid or Self-paced) and your booking status (for example Confirmed or Pending approval). The card footer shows Booked.
  3. Where available, the card shows the next session date and the location.
  4. Use the card action: Open course when the seminar is linked to a Moodle course, otherwise Open seminar for the seminar page. If you may not view that page, the card opens your seminar overview instead.
  5. Select View all seminars below the cards for the complete overview, including past bookings and your places on waiting lists.
  6. Without upcoming bookings the block shows "You do not have upcoming seminar bookings."

Learner: follow your pre-registrations

  1. Below the cards, My registrations lists up to five active pre-registrations. The section is hidden when you have none.
  2. Each entry shows the seminar and its status: Date available, Date full or No date, with the date when one is planned.
  3. Select Book now to open an available date and book it.
  4. Select the remove icon (Remove registration) to withdraw a pre-registration; Seminar Management asks you to confirm.
  5. Select View all registrations to open the seminar catalogue.

Site administrator: handle existing Dashboard placements

  1. The block is not placed automatically and is no longer offered under Add a block: the LernHive My Learning block covers this content on the Dashboard.
  2. A block placed earlier keeps working. Remove it where the Dashboard shows the content twice, or reset Dashboards under Appearance → Default Dashboard page.

Settings that matter

The block has no site-level settings and no per-instance configuration. Bookings, formats, statuses and pre-registrations come entirely from LernHive Seminar Management.

Limitations

  • The block is a personal Dashboard view, not the seminar catalogue; browsing and booking happen in Seminar Management.
  • Only upcoming bookings are shown, at most 24 cards; waitlisted and cancelled participations are not shown here. Use View all seminars for the complete list.
  • At most five pre-registrations are shown; use View all registrations.
  • Booking, cancellation, approval and waitlist rules belong to Seminar Management, not to this block.
  • Without LernHive Seminar Management the block shows its empty state.
  • The block can only be placed on the Dashboard, once per page.
  • Guests and logged-out visitors see no content.

Troubleshooting

A booked seminar does not appear in the block. → The block shows only upcoming bookings that are not on a waiting list. Past, cancelled and waitlisted bookings appear under View all seminars.

The card opens the seminar overview instead of the seminar page. → The seminar has no linked Moodle course and you have no access to the seminar page; the block then falls back to your overview.

The block is always empty although seminars exist. → Check that LernHive Seminar Management is installed and that the bookings belong to the signed-in person; the block never shows other people's bookings.

"My registrations" is missing. → The section appears only while you have an active pre-registration.
