Learner: redeem a code

  1. Open your Dashboard and find Redeem a registration code. The hint reads "Have you received a registration code? The code automatically enrols you in the course linked to it."
  2. Enter your code and click Redeem a code.
  3. You are taken to the redemption page. If it shows your code in the form, confirm with Redeem a code there.
  4. After a successful redemption you return to the Dashboard with "Code redeemed. Your course access is ready."; otherwise the page explains why the code was not accepted.

Platform administration: offer the block to everyone

  1. Open the default Dashboard page, switch on Edit mode and add Redeem a registration code via Add a block. It is never placed automatically and can be moved or removed independently of LernHive My Learning.

Site administrator: enable registration codes

  1. In the settings of LernHive registration codes, turn on Enable registration codes and choose the Registration-code mode: Registration and redemption or Redemption only. The block appears only in these two modes.

Settings that matter

The block has no settings. Enable registration codes and Registration-code mode of the enrolment plugin decide whether it renders.

Limitations

  • Only for signed-in users; guests and logged-out visitors see nothing.
  • The block validates nothing itself; codes, limits and the linked course are managed in the enrolment plugin.
  • Dashboard pages only, once per page.

Troubleshooting

The block is empty. → Registration codes are disabled, or you are not signed in.

The code is not accepted. → The redemption page names the reason (for example an unknown or used-up code). Ask the person who gave you the code.
