Glossary

Follow

Relationship to a piece of content: updates and feed relevance. Different from Bookmark.

Follow marks a piece of content — course, community, snack — as interesting. Updates to it appear in the personal Discovery feed, and the content feeds into Audience ranking. The UI uses a star icon consistently. On enrolment in a course, follow happens automatically; that can be disabled per tenant. Important: Follow is not Bookmark — Bookmark is "read later", Follow is "permanently relevant".

Related terms

  • Bookmark — "Save for later" — an explicit reading list, separate from Follow, no automatic behaviour.
  • Explore — Discovery landing page that replaces the dashboard in the LXP Flavour — four feed blocks, no like noise.
  • Community — Shared space where learners with a common interest follow content, post and discuss.
