What's the next sensible step?
Context-aware suggestions for the current page — not 90s help popups, but concrete next actions.
Overview
Help that thinks along.
The Context Helper watches where the user is and suggests the most likely next steps — structure a course, add an activity, check enrolment. One click takes the user straight to the right page.
Core features
What the helper offers.
Detect page context
Dashboard, course edit, activity, profile — each page has a context-specific suggestion pool.
Role-specific tips
Trainers see different suggestions than learners — admins different again.
Learning suggestions
'You finished chapter 2 — start the quiz' — instead of checklists only after login.
Extensible
Building blocks plug their own suggestions in.
Dismiss & snooze logic
Irrelevant suggestions are remembered and hidden for a duration.
No tracking overload
Suggestions are based on existing platform events and your role — no new profiles, no external services.
How it works
How a suggestion is built.
-
Read context
The current page, role, course and recent activity land with the helper.
-
Rule match
Rule engine checks registered suggestions — does role, page and state match?
-
Show top 3
A slim panel shows the three most relevant suggestions — no more.
-
Dismiss or run
Click → the target page opens. Dismiss → suggestion goes quiet.
Help that fits
Instead of generic welcome overlays on your 50th login, a concrete action arrives when it's actually needed.
Panel stays calm
Never more than three suggestions at once — dismiss option per entry. No noise.

FAQ
Common questions.
Is user activity stored to generate suggestions?
No. The helper only reads events the platform captures anyway — no extra profile is created.
Can I disable the helper entirely?
Yes, via an admin setting or a user preference. The tile disappears from the Context Dock entirely.
Can suggestions be prioritised?
Every registered suggestion has a score. The three highest are shown — the order is deterministic.
